This enables them to maintain strong relationship and communication with their fans and supporters. Twitter also offers account verification facility for celebrities so that all the famous people can get their accounts verified. This way, no one other than than the celebrity himself/herself can create an account with his/her name and this way no fooling can be done on behalf of a celebrity. It's very simple to identify the verified accounts. Every verified account has a white tick on blue background next to the account owners name in the profile and next to the name in the search result. This tick referred to as verification badge. This badge is must for every verified account and no verified account can be created or displayed without this badge.

Users can group together the tweets by using hash-tags.  These tags must be started by the "#" sign and after that the particular keyword can be added. On the basis this keyword, the results will be grouped. To specify a user while using Twitter, "@" sign is used. For example, if a user want to refer a username "abc", then he/she can use use "@abc" to refer to that user. Similarly, if user want to resend someone else's message to his/her follower, then the user must use "RT" to specify this activity.

The application also offer "Twitter Lists" which enables the users to refer to a list of users. Using this feature, users can send messages to multiple users at a time, thus saving a lot of time.
